Women's Agenda Assembly
Coming up again Fall 2008

Women's Resource Center

What is the Women's Agenda Assembly?  Since 1988, advocates in North Carolina have banded together in each even year to share information on public policy issues apt to come before the next session of the General Assembly. Their efforts have resulted in a "Draft Women's Agenda" published in late summer/early fall as an educational tool.  These issues are discussed at "Women's Agenda Assemblies" across the state, and the summaries of those discussions are presented to the Legislature at the start of the session.

The women of Alamance County have spoken!

Women of Alamance County met on Thursday, 11/2/06, at the Elon Community Church Parish Hall to review, discuss, share knowledge and vote on what they felt were the five most important issues affecting women and their families in Alamance County.  While all attending agreed each issue was of major importance, the following issues rated as the top five:

  1. Education

  2. Access to Health Care
